Smoothies For Kids - Morning Routines

Mornings are hard.

They are even more challenging with two children under the age of two.

Smoothies For Kids

While I’m still trying to wake up, and, to be honest, get my bearings, I’ve got a crew clamoring for food as soon as possible.

I don’t drink coffee so I’m always looking for something to get me going and give me energy first thing in the morning.

More than anything, I need something quick and easy to feed the crew.

Feeding my kids real food has always been important.

So much of the “easy” breakfast choices we are presented with are often overly processed and include multi-syllabic ingredient names and food dyes.

Instilling the virtues of healthy habits is important, so most mornings we have fresh eggs, fruit, and either bacon or sausage from ButcherBox.

More and more, however, SmoothieBox is my go-to on those mornings that I don’t have time or energy to fix a big breakfast, or need something to hold us over until we do a grocery pickup.

Personally, SmoothieBox has rescued my morning.

Let’s face it, getting two little ones fed and dressed, taking care of the pets, and, then shifting to organizing myself to be ready for the day does not leave a lot of time to put together a nutritious breakfast.

Being able to quickly whip together SmoothieBox Super Smoothies that taste great and leave me feeling full and ready for the day has been a gamechanger.

As an added bonus, I can easily make a double smoothie serving and share with my toddler.

There’s no better feeling than knowing he’s had a full serving of fruits and veggies with some extra protein first thing in the morning.

And SuperSmoothies don’t just need to be a morning treat.

On nights that my toddler is a little more picky at dinner than usual, a green smoothie as a quick and easy snack before bed ensures he’s gotten some veggies and protein and keeps him full until morning. It’s like a veggie dessert.

Best of all, with smoothies, the clean up is simple, which gives me more time in the morning or at night to focus on family rather than a pile of dirty dishes.
