To some, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But if you are among those who squeeze in a workout session bright and early, then you will agree that pre workout snacks are just as important.

A good pre workout snack is one that allows you to acquire a well-balanced ratio of carbohydrates, protein, and fats to satisfy hunger, assist with recovery, and fuel workouts. While everyone's nutritional preferences and requirements vary depending on their activities and goals, you don't need to eat too much to work out for 60 minutes or less. 

The body recovers and builds muscle 24/7, not just at the gym or on the field. Well-timed pre workout snacks can give the body the fuel it requires to build muscles, burn fat, and recover as best as it can. A good pre-workout snack can enable you to exercise at a higher intensity for longer. The recommended practice is to grab a snack 45 to 60 minutes before a workout and ensure that you keep it small.

1. Cacao Pudding 

This snack is so creamy and healthy, and contains the nutritional goodness of raw cacao powder and avocado. The fact that it has zero added sugar or dairy means that it is also diabetic-friendly. All you have to do is blend cacao, avocado and ice in a blender, and then you are ready to go!

2. Tropical Green Smoothie
