Rolled oats have a variety of benefits that make them a perfect add-in to your daily smoothie. They're a staple item in most pantries, so there's a good chance you won't even have to add these to your next grocery list.
1. Oats are rich in antioxidants that may help reduce your blood pressure.
2. Oats are a great source of soluble fiber, which help promote a healthy gut as well as increase fullness. Are you using your smoothie as a meal replacement, but find yourself hungry before your next meal? Try adding oats to your recipe to feel fuller longer.
3. Oats are full of vitamins and minerals. One-half cup of oats will give you 20% RDI of iron, 20% RDI of zinc, and 34% RDI of magnesium.
4. Oats can help control your blood sugar and lower the risk of type-2 diabetes.
Pro blending tip: Add your oats to your blender before any other ingredients and pulse for 10-20 seconds. Add remaining ingredients and liquid and blend as normal.

    The taste of ginger is strong, which I like, but I can see why some might prefer it to taste less gingery.
